Uttarakhand Cancels Licenses Of 14 Patanjali Products, Criminal Complaint Against Yoga Guru Ramdev
The Uttarakhand government has suspended the licenses of 14 products of Patanjali and filed a criminal complaint against Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna for violating the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.
The order dated April 15 states that the licenses of the products suspended are: Swasari Gold, Swasari Vati, Bronchom, Swasari Pravahi, Swasari Avaleh, Mukta Vati Extra Power, Lipidom, Bp Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, Eyegrit Gold and Patanjali Drishti Eye Drop.

In an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the licensing body confirmed the suspension of licenses for 14 products manufactured by Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy.
The organization also stated that it notified the Union AYUSH Ministry about the actions taken against the Indian multinational company on April 24th.
It comes at a time when Ramdev and Patanjali have come under severe scrutiny from the Supreme Court over misleading advertisements.
The apex court is hearing a plea filed in 2022 by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) alleging a smear campaign against the COVID-19 vaccination drive and modern systems of medicine.
Last week, Yoga guru Ramdev and his aide Balkrishna issued a public apology in newspapers after the Supreme Court questioned them over the size and visibility of an apology issued by Patanjali Ayurved Limited for previous misleading advertisements.
The new unconditional apology published in newspapers read: "In wake of ongoing matter before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (Writ Petition C. No. 645/2022), we in our individual capacity as well as on behalf of the Company, unconditionally apologise for the non-compliance or disobedience of directions/ orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India,"
Earlier, the Supreme Court declined to accept the affidavits filed by yoga guru Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna tendering an unconditional apology in the misleading advertisements case.
The apex court also came down heavily on the Uttarakhand State Licensing Authority for not taking action against Patanjali Ayurved.
