Uttar Pradesh Woman Accused Of Strangling Railway Employee Husband To Death, Arrested
A railway employee was allegedly murdered by his wife through strangulation in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, police confirmed on Tuesday.
The incident comes merely a month after a merchant navy officer was similarly killed by his wife and her lover in Meerut, also in Uttar Pradesh.

The motive behind the killing remains unclear. The wife initially attempted to pass off her husband's death as natural, but an autopsy exposed signs of foul play.
According to a PTI report, the couple had been married for approximately one-and-a-half years following a romantic relationship and have a six-month-old daughter.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjeev Vajpayee stated that the deceased, Deepak, was found dead at his rented accommodation in the Adarsh Nagar locality of Najibabad.
Deepak's wife, Shivani, had informed her brother-in-law, Piyush, that her husband had suffered a heart attack and was being taken to hospital.
Suspicion and autopsy
Upon arriving at the hospital, Piyush found Deepak already deceased and became suspicious of the circumstances surrounding the death. He proceeded to file a police complaint and requested a post-mortem examination.
Shivani's initial reluctance to permit the autopsy further heightened his suspicions, according to a report by News18.
"The post-mortem report revealed that Deepak's death was not the result of a heart attack, but of strangulation. Following this revelation, we took Shivani in for questioning," ASP Vajpayee said.
She is currently being interrogated in connection with the incident.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Shivani administered sleeping pills to Deepak before allegedly strangling him while he was unconscious, News18 reported.
Deepak's uncle, Vishal, expressed doubt that Shivani acted alone.
"Someone else must be involved. We don't yet know if the motive was financial or job-related, but she is responsible for his death. We demand she be brought to justice," he was quoted as saying.
