Uttar Pradesh: Victim of eve-teasing sets herself ablaze
Mathura, April 28: Frustrated of continuous eve-teasing by four youths, a student of class VII attempted to commit suicide allegedly by setting herself ablaze, police said on Wednesday.
The girl was admitted to a local hospital with serious burn injuries on Tuesday and has been referred to a Agra hospital later, police said. [Maharashtra: Minor girl sets self ablaze to escape gangrape]

City Magistrate Hem Singh has recorded the statement of the victim girl.
According to the victim, after months of eve-teasing by four youths namely Iqbal, Lala, Sumit and Aakash, she attempted to take her own life by setting herself ablaze, police said.
Two accused have been arrested while the others are absconding, police said.
