Uttar Pradesh: Toddler Gets Attacked By A Stray Dog In Amrohar

A series of incidents showing children being attacked by stray dogs in Uttar Pradesh has created a state of panic among the locals and one such incident is of a toddler being attacked by street dogs in Uttar Pradesh Amroha.

A CCTV footage showing a small boy being attacked by some street dogs in Amroha has taken the internet by storm. In the visuals, the minor boy can be seen running away from the dog as the canine speeds up to catch the boy and attack.

Local residents express their fear of letting their children out of their houses as there are many other cases in the city which has created panic in the minds of people.

Meanwhile, the administration has claimed to be reviewing animal birth control schemes in the area and look into the matter seriously as the situation claims safety of children.

District Magistrate Amroha Rajesh Kumar Tyagi was quoted saying as, "We have called a team to catch dogs and they are catching them in localities. Action is being taken at the district level."

Reportedly, a dozen cases of such attacks have surfaced in recent months and the incident from Amroha is one among them.

According to the local residents, the city has recorded several cases of stray dogs attacking pedestrians, including children. They further said that children carry sticks in hands while stepping out f their houses fearing dogs' attacks.

"How will children go to schools when they are afraid of dogs attacking? Even when children go to buy goods from the shops, they step out with a stick. Wherever the children go, they carry a stick," a local resident was quoted saying.

Earlier on July 6, a similar CCTV video went viral where a girl can been seen attacked by a stray dog on the streets of Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. The girl sustained severe injuries during the attack. The incident took place in Mirzapur area of Ghaziabad.
