Police said Yogesh 32, a truck driver, died near Bilsi Road in the Bisoli area. A eucalyptus tree was uprooted and fell onto the vehicle. In another case, Anshul Sharma 22 from Sahukara locality in Bisoli died later. A tree hit Anshul Sharma during the storm while delivering food to Anshul Sharma’s father.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to give compensation for unseasonal rain, thunderstorms and lightning strikes. Taking cognisance of losses to life, livestock and property, Adityanath expressed condolences to bereaved families. Adityanath instructed the revenue and agriculture departments, along with insurance companies, to survey the damage.
