Uttar Pradesh Road Accident: Massive Van-Truck Collision In Hathras Claims 7 Lives, 6 Injured

In a tragic incident in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, an out-of-control truck collided with a van, resulting in the deaths of at least seven individuals, including women. More than 13 others sustained injuries. The accident took place as the van was travelling from Kumarai village in Hathras to Nagla Imaliya village in Etah. The collision occurred near Salempur within the Kotwali Hathras Junction area.

Upon receiving news of the accident, Hathras District Magistrate Ashish Kumar promptly addressed the situation. He stated, "There was a collision between a pickup and a courier tanker near Chandpa village. So far seven people have died in this accident. The deceased include three women, three men and a child. At the same time, six people among the injured have been referred, while seven people are undergoing treatment in the district hospital here."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sorrow over the incident. In a post on X, he remarked, "The loss of life in a road accident on the Mathura-Kasganj highway in Hathras district is extremely sad and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the bereaved family." He also directed district officials to expedite relief efforts and ensure that those injured receive immediate medical attention.

The Chief Minister further added his prayers for those affected by this tragedy: "I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured."
