Uttar Pradesh's Deputy CM Calls Samajwadi Party 'Samaaptwadi', Accuses Alliance with Congress

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya criticised the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Monday, labelling it as "Samaaptwadi Party." He claimed that the SP chief has become a pawn of the Congress. Maurya also stated that if the SP's ties with criminals and mafia were severed, the party would cease to exist.

UP Deputy CM Criticizes SP and Congress

Addressing the BJP's Backward Classes Morcha state unit in Lucknow, Maurya said, "Samajwadi Party is Samaaptwadi Party. The SP chief has become a pawn of the Congress." He added, "If there is anyone who is the kingpin of criminals, mafia and corrupt people in Uttar Pradesh, then it is Akhilesh Yadav and company. Samajwadi Party's relationship with criminals and mafia has not ended. If Samajwadi Party's relationship with criminals and mafia ends, then Samajwadi Party will itself end."

Upcoming Elections and Allegations

Maurya urged attendees to prepare for the upcoming assembly byelections and the 2027 UP Assembly elections. He accused the SP of spreading lies during the Lok Sabha elections. According to him, both SP and Congress falsely claimed that BJP would amend the Constitution. Maurya emphasised that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar prioritised Dalits, backward classes, and tribal communities, and BJP aims to strengthen this legacy.

The deputy chief minister questioned which party imposed Emergency in India. He alleged that the SP chief used all his powers to prevent Narendra Modi from becoming prime minister for a third term. Maurya also claimed that Congress expresses its views through Akhilesh Yadav.

Comparisons and Praise

Maurya praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, "Can the honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who works day and night to bring prosperity in the lives of the poor and the deprived, be compared with Rahul Gandhi ji?" He asserted that BJP represents both present and future, believing in "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Samman."

He highlighted that OBC community gets representation in BJP, unlike during SP's rule when backward classes were denied their rights. Maurya urged BJP office-bearers to focus on 2027 UP Assembly elections by learning from mistakes made in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He stressed on full preparation for upcoming assembly byelections to make India a leading nation globally.

Statements from Other Leaders

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also spoke at the event, accusing Congress and SP of misleading people during Lok Sabha elections. In an apparent attack on Congress, Pathak said those invoking the Constitution had altered it by imposing Emergency during their tenure.

Pathak praised Modi for enhancing India's global pride. He criticised SP's rule for poor law and order in Uttar Pradesh, describing it as "jungle Raj." Under BJP governance, he claimed good governance and rule of law have been established in the state. Pathak reiterated BJP's commitment to honouring and uplifting OBC community under Modi's leadership.

Anti-Backward Allegations

UP BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary labelled Congress and SP as anti-backward parties. He described them as dynastic parties promoting corruption and nepotism when in power. Chaudhary noted that despite long-term power post-Independence, Congress did little for OBC welfare.

He credited Modi for forming National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC). Chaudhary highlighted significant work done for backward society under Modi's central government leadership over ten years and Yogi Adityanath's seven-year leadership in Uttar Pradesh.

Chaudhary accused opposition parties of misleading society with lies and confusion. He urged everyone to warn people about these falsehoods spread by opposition.

The event concluded with leaders emphasising unity within BJP to achieve historic success in future elections while continuing efforts for societal upliftment under Modi's leadership.
