Uttar Pradesh Leaders Express Condolences Following the Passing of Manmohan Singh
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away in Delhi at the age of 92. His death was confirmed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, where he was admitted in critical condition. Singh's contributions to India's economic reforms have left a lasting impact on the nation.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel expressed her condolences, describing Singh's passing as a significant loss to Indian politics. "Dr Manmohan Singh's demise is a profound loss to Indian politics. I pray for peace to his soul and extend my heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family," she stated.
Tributes from Political Leaders
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also mourned Singh's death, acknowledging his vital role in India's governance. "The demise of former prime minister and eminent economist Dr Manmohan Singh is deeply saddening and an irreparable loss to Indian politics. My humble tributes to him! I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family and his supporters to bear this immense loss. Om Shanti," he said.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav shared his sorrow over Singh's passing. He praised Singh as a man of truth and gentle nature, calling his death an "irreparable international loss." Yadav paid tribute to Singh's legacy as a great economist and former prime minister in a post on X.

BSP chief Mayawati expressed her sadness over the news on X, highlighting Singh's notable contributions to India's economic progress. She remarked that his virtuous nature would always be remembered and extended her condolences to his family and admirers.
State Congress chief Ajay Rai honoured Singh through a heartfelt social media post. He described Singh as a symbol of simplicity in politics, whose visionary initiatives like economic reforms, the nuclear agreement, and MGNREGA elevated India to new heights of prosperity. Rai emphasized that the nation would remain indebted to Singh's contributions.
Singh was regarded as one of India's finest economists and a beacon of decency in politics. His transformative policies have significantly shaped modern India. According to AIIMS, Delhi, he had been treated for age-related medical conditions and experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26.
The passing of Manmohan Singh marks the end of an era in Indian politics. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations, reflecting his dedication to India's progress and development.
