Uttar Pradesh: Gangrape victim commits suicide

Muzaffarnagar, May 22: A 16-year-old gangrape victim committed suicide by consuming poison at Rasoolpur village of the district, police said today.

The girl, who was raped on April 19 by three persons, committed suicide yesterday after her family was allegedly being pressurised by the accused to withdraw the case, they said.

The three accused Mayank, son of police constable, Ajai who is the brother of a constable, and Pankaj were arrested in this connection and are in jail.
