Use social media professionally for campaigning: Chandy
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 13: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday asked Congress cadres to use social media professionally in campaigning for the upcoming local body polls scheduled for early November.
The voting would take place on November 2 and November 5.

He said that with the emergence of social media as a powerful medium to propagate message, "all should make use of it. But it should be done in the most professional and dignified manner".
"It should not be used to defame others. Instead, use it to one's benefit," Chandy said.
Chandy was speaking at the party headquarters here while inaugurating a seminar on how the party should use social media while campaigning for the upcoming election.
Congress Kerala unit president V.M. Sudheeran said: "We should use this medium to speak only the truth and nothing should be done to deviate from the truth when we counter the baseless allegations against our party."
The state party headquarters have formed a full-fledged IT cell, which will oversee the election campaign through the social media.
