New Delhi: The Election Commission on Tuesday clarified that it will use EVMs for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls that are going to be held on April 22 and counting for the same is going to be held on April 25.

Earlier in the day, the Congress had asked the EC to use the paper ballot for the polls. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party Arvind Kejriwal had said that he has a doubt on the EVMs which may manipulate his votes to the BJP who are also in the fray.

Reacting to Kejriwal's comments on EVMs, BJP leader Manoj Tiwary had said that if Kejriwal does not believe in EVMs, then he should step down from the post and have a re-polling on the 67 assembly seats he had won.
It is to be mention that Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on March 10 had accused the BJP of stealing the votes by using EVMs during the counting.
