Urfi Javed Alleges Harassment, Eve Teasing By Drunk Men On Mumbai-Goa Flight

Urfi Javed, known for her fame from Bigg Boss OTT, recently encountered alleged harassment while traveling in economy class from Mumbai to Goa on a flight.

On Friday night, she took to her Instagram stories and shared a note recounting how some men made nasty comments, eve teased, and called her names during the journey. When she confronted them, one of the men claimed that their friends were drunk as an excuse for their behavior. Urfi said that being drunk does not justify mistreating women and stated, "Being drunk is no excuse to misbehave with women. Public figure YES, Public property NO."

This is not the first time Urfi Javed has faced such derogatory remarks. As a social media sensation, she is often subjected to trolling for her bold fashion choices. Earlier this month, Urfi revealed that due to the lack of respect she receives, she faces difficulties in securing work opportunities. In an interview with BBC World, she candidly expressed, "I have achieved popularity? Yes. Fame? Yes. Work? No. People don't respect me. People don't want to work with me." She acknowledged her inclination for attention and defended her dressing style, stating, "I scream attention. I want attention so I dress like that."

Urfi addressed trolls and admitted that their comments do upset her at times. However, she asserted her resilience by affirming that she quickly moves past the negativity, telling herself that such individuals are probably just envious and insecure. "I am human, so I get upset. But then me being upset lasts for like 5-10 minutes, and then I just tell myself that they are just probably very ugly, you are just too pretty," she shared.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Urfi Javed is reportedly set to make her Bollywood debut in Ekta Kapoor's Love, Sex Aur Dokha 2. However, no official confirmation has been made by the makers at this moment.
