UPSC results 2017: 'This is like a dream come true,' says topper Anu Kumari
Haryana girl Anu Kumari secured the second rank in the most coveted Civil Service examination 2017. Anu Kumari (Roll No. 48547) is topper among the female candidates securing an overall Second rank. She graduated with BSc (Hons) in Physics from Delhi University and pursued MBA (Finance and Marketing from IMT, Nagpur.
Anu Kumari told ANI, "I used to study 10-12 hours a day. This is like a dream come true. This feeling has still not sunk in. My first preference will be IAS as I want to stay in my country and serve the people here."

A devoted mother of 4-year-old, Anu Kumari not only fulfilled her household responsibilities but took out 10-12 hours every day for her studies.
Durishetty Anudeep, Anu Kumari, Sachin Gupta, Atul Parkash and Pratham Kaushik are top five positions in UPSC Civil Services results declared on Friday.
Haryana secured three (2nd, 3rd & 5th) out of top five positions: Anu Kumari(Sonipat)- 2 Sachin Gupta(Sirsa)- 3 and Pratham Kaushik (Mahendergarh)- 5.
Nandini K R, Tina Dabi and Ira Singhal had topped the civil services examination 2016, 2015 and 2014, respectively.
Over 9.5 lakh candidates applied for the UPSC preliminary examination in 2017. Of these, 4, 56, 625 candidates appeared.
