UPSC ESE Mains 2025 Result: Know How to Download UPSC Result

UPSC has declared the ESE Mains 2025 result (exam held on August 10). A roll-number list (PDF) of candidates shortlisted for the Personality Test/Interview is out on upsc.gov.in.

Who moves to interview:

Only candidates whose roll numbers appear in the PDF.

Step-by-step: Download & Check Your Result (Desktop or Mobile)

• Open your browser and go to upsc.gov.in.
• On the homepage, look for "What's New" or "Examinations" section.
• Click the link that says "ESE (Engineering Services) Mains 2025 Result" or "Written Result - ESE 2025 (Mains)".
• A PDF opens showing roll numbers of qualified candidates.

Find your roll number quickly:

• On computer: press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac), type your roll number.
• On phone: use your browser's Find in page option and enter your roll number.
• If your roll number is listed, you're shortlisted for the Personality Test.
• Download/Save the PDF

Right-click → Save as... (desktop).

(If a login page appears instead of a PDF): Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth, then download the result file shown there.

What's Next

DAF (Detailed Application Form):

UPSC will activate the DAF link soon on upsc.gov.in. Fill it within the deadline and upload the required documents.

Interview (Personality Test):

Dates, time, and venue will be in your e-Summon Letter. A roll-number-wise schedule will also be posted on the website.

Carry Originals:

Bring original documents to the interview. Without them, you won't be allowed to appear.

No Rescheduling:

Requests to change date/time of interview won't be entertained.

Tip: Check upsc.gov.in regularly for DAF window, interview schedule, and e-Summon updates. Keep digital + printed copies of your PDF result and submitted DAF.
