UPSC Declares Results For Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 With Next Steps For Candidates
The Union Public Service Commission has published results for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025. Qualified candidates can proceed to the Personality Test, with detailed next steps outlined on the UPSC website.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2025. The written exam took place from June 21 to June 22, 2025. Candidates who have passed this stage can now proceed to the Personality Test/Interview. The roll numbers of successful candidates are available on the UPSC's official website.
Qualified candidates must present original documents during the interview to verify their age, educational qualifications, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), and disability status if applicable. Their selection remains provisional until these verifications are completed.
Steps to Access Results
Candidates can check their qualification status by visiting the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. On the homepage, navigate to the "What's New" section and click on "Written Result: Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination 2025". A PDF will open where candidates can find their roll number. It is advisable to download and save this PDF for future reference.
Alternatively, a direct link is provided on the website for downloading the result PDF. This ensures easy access for all candidates who wish to verify their status promptly.
Next Steps for Candidates
A Detailed Application Form (DAF) submission window will be open from July 29, 2025, until August 12, 2025, at upsconline.gov.in. During this period, shortlisted candidates must log in to confirm or update various details such as educational qualifications and proof of passing the qualifying exam.
Additional information required includes correspondence address, higher qualifications, employment experience, achievements in different fields, and service preferences if qualified for both categories of posts. Failure to update these details or upload necessary documents within the given timeframe will result in cancellation of candidature.
Interview Schedule and Process
The schedule for Personality Tests will be uploaded on the UPSC website soon. Candidates will also receive interview dates via email. It is important to note that requests for rescheduling interviews will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates should review the Combined Geo‐Scientist Examination‐2025 Rules published in the Gazette of India on September 4, 2024. This document provides detailed information about certificate requirements and other essential details needed during interviews.
Additional Information
The mark sheets of all candidates will be available on the Commission's website within 15 days after final results are declared post-interviews. These mark sheets will remain accessible online for a duration of 30 days using Roll Number and date of birth.
If candidates require printed mark sheets, they must submit a specific request within 30 days along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Any changes in address should be promptly communicated to UPSC via email or official correspondence.
