UP's Yogi Adityanath Govt Changes Ayodhya Railway Junction's Name To Ayodhya Dham

Ahead of the grand opening of the Ram Mandir on January 22, BJP MP Lallu Singh has conveyed that the Ayodhya Railway Station's name has been altered to "Ayodhya Dham" Junction

According to the reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya Junction Railway Station, now renamed to Ayodhya Dham on December 30.

Five-time MLA Lallu Singh shared the information about the railway station renaming through a post on the micro-blogging site X, formerly known as Twitter. Singh said, "Ayodhya Junction became "Ayodhya Dham" Junction Under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri @narendramodi ji, the name of Ayodhya Junction of the newly constructed grand Ayodhya Railway Station has been changed to #अयोध्या_धाम_जंक्शन as per the expectation of public sentiments."

After the renovation of Ayodhya railway station, which will soon witness massive footfall for the Ram Temple inauguration, the District Magistrate of Ayodhya, Nitish Kumar told the media, "We are carrying out the revamp of the railway station in a manner as to make it resemble the facade of Ram Temple. It would also reflect the historical significance of Ayodhya. While it would resemble a temple from the outside, it would be equipped with the latest technology for the ease of passengers. It already has a circulation capacity of 50,000-60,000 people and we are only in Phase 1 of the project. Work in the second phase will begin soon."

Architect Namit Agarwal, who reshaped and beautified the Ayodhya Railway Station told the media, "It is a challenging and ambitious project. The site has space constraints as narrow streets lead to stations. The idea was to create a structure which is deeply connected with Ayodhya and its heritage, but also has direct connectivity with the arterial road of the city and a straight path leading to the temple."
