UP Woman Forced to Have Relation With Father-in-Law, Endures Two Abortions for a Son

In a shocking case from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a woman faced repeated abuse at the hands of her in-laws in the pursuit of a male child. Mehak Khan alleges that she was compelled to terminate two pregnancies and forced into sexual relations with her father-in-law and brother-in-law.

Married Life Turned Nightmare

Mehak Khan tied the knot with Shah Faheed in 2021. Soon after, she says her husband and his family began demanding large sums of money and a car. "When I refused to comply, I was beaten regularly, leaving me with severe spinal injuries," she stated.

The harassment intensified after Mehak gave birth to a daughter. During her subsequent pregnancy, ultrasound scans revealed female fetuses, which were reportedly aborted under pressure from her in-laws.

Forced Sexual Advances and Abuse

According to Mehak, her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law pressured her to engage in sexual relations with her father-in-law or brother-in-law to conceive a son. She further alleged, "My father-in-law and brother-in-law molested and abused me multiple times." All her complaints to her husband were ignored.

Brutal Eviction and Dowry Threats

Recently, Mehak claims she and her daughter were beaten and thrown out of the house. She was warned not to return until the dowry demands were fulfilled.

Legal Action Initiated

Following her complaint, the Kanpur police registered an FIR against seven individuals, including her husband, mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law.
