UP shocker: Class 3 student beaten to death over stolen pencil, eraser
Barabanki, April 9: In a shocking incident, a Class III student was beaten to death by the principal of his school in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to media reports, the eleven-year-old was thrashed by principal of Dwarika Prasad School at Railamau area for reportedly "stealing" a pencil and eraser.

Reports said that during the class some students complained that their pencils and erasers were missing and when teacher conducted a search the stolen item were recovered from the possession of the deceased and another boy.
When the school principal came to know about the whole incident, he beat them up mercilessly.
After reaching home, one of the students complained of stomach ache and vomited blood. He was rushed to nearby Fatehpur hospital where he was declared dead on arrival
Meanwhile, the police have detained the school principal Lalit Kumar Verma. He will be produced in court later on Thursday.
In December last year, a seven-year-old boy was beaten to death by his teacher in Bareilly district of UP.
Araj was first thrashed by his teacher and then his head banged against the wall. He became unconscious and started bleeding from his nose, he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
