UP polls: Rajnath Singh uses math formula to explain why SP-Congress pact will fail
Union home minister Rajnath Singh used a math formula to explain the logic behind failure of the SP-Congress alliance in the upcoming UP polls.
Lucknow, Feb 10: Who says mathematics has nothing to do with elections? After all, elections are all about numbers and home minister Rajnath Singh has become the latest advocate of mathematics to understand which party is likley to emerge victorious in the high-stake Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
Attending a press meet in Lucknow on Friday, Singh used a math formula to explain why the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance in the state is likely to fail in the upcoming polls.
"Minus + Minus is = Minus," said Singh, when reporters asked him to speak about the poll prospect of the SP-Congress alliance.

"The opposition is spreading lies. The BJP is getting tremendous support from the Jat community. I have myself visited several Jat-dominated seats.
