UP ATS Questions Pakistani National Seema Haider, Lover in Undisclosed Location

A Pakistani national, Seema Haider, along with her lover Sachin Meena and his father, is currently being interrogated by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) at an undisclosed location in Noida. This development follows their recent release on bail, subject to certain conditions.

The court-imposed conditions stipulate that Seema must inform the police before leaving India and notify the court of any changes to her current address.

A senior police officer confirmed to news agency PTI that Seema, Sachin and Netrapal Singh were being interrogated by the ATS and that the local police were not involved in it.

''They may or may not be arrested after the questioning, depending on the outcome of the interrogation in the sensitive matter that pertains to national security,'' a UP ATS official told PTI.

Local police are separately investigating the case and are yet to file a chargesheet, the officer said.

Seema and Sachin initially connected through the gaming app PUBG Mobile, where they developed a romantic relationship. Subsequently, Seema illegally entered India with her four children through Nepal and reunited with Sachin in Greater Noida.

Earlier today, the Gau Raksha Hindu Dal, a right-wing organisation, issued a 72-hour ultimatum for Seema Haider to leave the country. Ved Nagar, the national president of the organisation, released a video expressing concerns about the possibility of Seema being a Pakistani spy and posing a threat to the country.

As per a report from Indian Express, Seema revealed that she and Sachin met in Kathmandu and solemnised their marriage at Pashupatinath Temple. Since Sachin didn't have a passport, Seema took the decision to travel to India.

Despite the challenges in Pakistan, Seema successfully made her way from Karachi to Kathmandu, accompanied by her four children. Upon reaching the Nepalese capital, she boarded a bus to Delhi, where she reunited with Sachin.

The Meena family has warmly embraced Seema and her children. Justice Nazim Akbar, Jewar Civil Judge (Junior Division), granted her bail, taking into consideration her "ignorance" while crossing the Indian border. The judge emphasised that Seema had no malicious intentions while entering India.

Earlier, UP ATS arrested a suspected agent of Pakistan's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Lucknow on charges of supplying ''vital information about defence establishments'' to his handlers in the neighbouring country.
