UP Man Kills, Chops 5-Year-Old Daughter's Body Into 4 Pieces For Visiting Neighbour's House; Arrested
A man in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly strangling his five-year-old daughter to death and dismembering her body into four pieces.
The motive behind the crime, as revealed by the police, is as disturbing as the act itself-accused Mohit Mishra (40) was enraged because his daughter, Tani, had visited neighbours with whom he had an ongoing dispute, reported NDTV.

A senior police officer stated that on February 25, they received a report that the child had gone missing near her home. Shockingly, it was Mohit himself who had lodged the missing persons complaint.
"We registered a case and deployed four teams to locate her. During the search, we discovered a part of her body. The following day, more body parts were found. By then, it was evident that she had been murdered," Additional Superintendent of Police Pravin Ranjan Singh informed the media.
He further informed that as part of the investigation, they repeatedly questioned people in the area, during which the girl's father suddenly disappeared.
"Mohit handed his phone to his wife and vanished. When he went missing, we asked the family members about the events leading up to the child's disappearance. When he reappeared, we interrogated him, and he eventually confessed to killing the girl and disposing of her body," the officer said.
According to Mohit's statement to the police, his family was once very close to their neighbours, particularly Ramu's family, and they would frequently visit one another. However, a recent altercation led to the families severing ties.
"Mohit repeatedly warned his daughter against going to Ramu's house, but she continued to visit and play there," the officer stated.
"On the day of the incident, Mohit saw his daughter returning from Ramu's house. This infuriated him so much that he put her on his bike, took her to a secluded area, and strangled her using her own clothes. He then disposed of the body in a mustard field," the officer added.
The senior officer commended the police team for their efforts in uncovering the horrific crime, revealing that over 100 people were questioned during the investigation.
