UP International Trade Show Attracts Massive Crowd, Highlights State's Economic Growth

The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show is taking place at Greater Noida's Expomart and will run until September 29, 2024. This prestigious event has drawn a massive crowd of over 350,000 visitors from across the region on its third day. The event is showcasing the best of Uttar Pradesh's culture, education, and industry, with a focus on the state's theme of becoming 'Uttam and Udyam Pradesh'.

UP Trade Show 2023 Growth and Opportunities

The trade show features a wide range of stalls offering educational and cultural exhibits, clothing, home decor items, and more. Visitors have been flocking to the event from Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and other regions. The event is also highlighting the state's progress in industry and startups, with a focus on sectoral policies aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision.

One of the main attractions of the event is the laser and khadi fashion show. The khadi fashion show offers a glimpse into Uttar Pradesh's rich cultural heritage through its exquisite sarees and garments. The audience gets captivated by the artists' performances during the cultural evening. Other events include music and fashion shows.

The Yogi government's 'One District One Product' initiative has also garnered significant interest among entrepreneurs, who are connecting with domestic and international buyers through knowledge sessions. Stalls related to education and culture are drawing large crowds.

The India Expo Mart showcases Uttar Pradesh's progress in industry and startups, with a focus on supporting entrepreneurs through valuable insights into industrial growth and development opportunities within the state.

In a session by the Federation of Export Organizations (FEO), Minister Rakesh Sachan said that Uttar Pradesh's exports reached $20.57 billion in the last fiscal year, attributing this growth largely to the efforts of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Minister of Industrial Development and Export Promotion, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, expressed Uttar Pradesh's commitment to becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2025. He highlighted the state's skilled artisans and manufacturers whose craftsmanship has gained global recognition.

The trade show also provides opportunities for youth empowerment through skill acquisition in modern technologies. Skill Development Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal visited the Skill Development Mission at the event and urged young people to pursue self-reliance and informed them about schemes designed to aid their future development.

The Skill Development Pavilion at the trade show is offering a platform for skilled youth to demonstrate their expertise live and equip them with skills that enhance their employability in various industries.
