UP: Explosion In Meerut's Lohia Nagar Claims Two Lives

In a tragic event that unfolded in Lohia Nagar, Meerut, two individuals lost their lives, and three others suffered serious injuries as a result of an explosion on a Tuesday morning. The explosion took place near Satyapal International School, in the area covered by the Lohianagar police station.

According to initial reports, the affected site was home to a soap factory primarily involved in the wrapping and packaging of soap products, and it is owned by an individual named Gaurav Gupta.

District Magistrate Deepak Meena has confirmed an ongoing search operation aimed at ensuring no individuals are trapped beneath the debris resulting from the explosion. Meena stated, "Five people sustained injuries during the incident and have been promptly transported to the medical college for essential medical care. The current search operation is focused on a meticulous examination of the area to verify that no one is still trapped under the debris. While it is established that soap wrapping and packaging activities took place at the premises, the precise cause of the explosion remains unknown at this point."

The injured individuals have been swiftly admitted to the emergency section for immediate medical attention, and fire brigade personnel are actively engaged in providing relief and conducting rescue operations at the accident site.
