UP elections: Mulayam does a U-turn, will campaign for SP-Cong combine
In a reversal of fortune for brother Shivpal Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav said that he will campaign for the SP-Congress alliance for the UP assembly polls
Mulayam Singh Yadav did a reversal when he announced that he would campaign for the Samajwadi Party-Congress combine during the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Mulayam, who had initially refused to campaign citing differences, had a change of heart on Monday. The SP patriarch said that he would start campaigning for the alliance from Tuesday onwards. Akhilesh Yadav will be the chief minister of the Uttar Pradesh and there are absolutely no differences in the family, the party's supremo clarified.

When asked about his brother Shivpal, Mulayam rubbished talks of a rift. "Shivpal is not angry," he said while adding that no one is upset with the arrangement. "We are one family with no differences," Mulayam said.
UP would witness several election campaigns on Monday. Mayawati of the Bahujan Samaj Party would address two rallies in Agra and Farukhabad. The Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajnath Singh will address rallies in Aligarh, Mathura and Tundla. While Rahul Gandhi would campaign in Shamli and Mathurda, Akhilesh Yadav would be seen in Sitapur.
