UP continues to reel under scorching heat

Lucknow, May 10: Parts of Uttar Pradseh continued to reel under searing heat as weather remained dry and hot throughout the state.

According to MeT office, the day temperatures appreciably rose in Gorakhpur division and were appreciably above normal in Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Allahabad, Lucknow, and Bareilly divisions.

Etawah recorded the highest day temperature in the state at 43.4 degrees Celsius. MeT department, in a forecast, said that weather would be mainly dry over the state today.
