Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a software and mobile application for e-filing and online hearing of complaints in the State Information Commission, eliminating the need for physical visits.
Lucknow, January 5: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a software and a mobile application to facilitate e-filing and online hearing of complaints and second appeals in the State Information Commission. The complaint and appeal tracking system was launched at the RTI Bhawan in Lucknow.
Technology as a Powerful Medium for Change
Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized the potential of technology as a powerful tool for transforming people's lives. With the introduction of this software and mobile app, individuals will no longer need to physically visit the State Information Commission office to file their complaints.
Addressing the Food Grain Scam
Adityanath highlighted the food grain scam that occurred prior to 2017, where underprivileged individuals were deprived of essential food supplies in various districts of the state. Upon assuming office, the government conducted simultaneous raids on all 80,000 fair price ration shops, uncovering 30 lakh fake ration cards.
Uttar Pradesh Leads the Way
Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in India to develop its own software and app for the redressal of complaints by the Information Commission. This initiative demonstrates the state's commitment to leveraging technology for efficient governance.
Resolving Cases Efficiently
In the past three years, the UP Information Commission has successfully resolved over 1,10,000 cases. The Chief Minister expressed his belief that with the effective use of technology and improved teamwork, the resolution of all cases can be expedited in the future.
The launch of the software and mobile app for e-filing and online hearing of RTI complaints marks a significant step forward in Uttar Pradesh's efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in governance. By embracing technology, the state is empowering citizens to exercise their right to information and seek redressal of their grievances in a timely and efficient manner.
