UP CM Yogi Adityanath Gets Death Threat: 'Resign In 10 Days Or Get Killed Like Baba Siddique'

Mumbai Traffic Police have received a death threat targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, warning he would be killed "like Baba Siddique" unless he resigned as Chief Minister within 10 days.

This threat follows the recent murder of former minister and NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique, who was fatally shot in Bandra. The warning also arrives amid a series of death threats against actor Salman Khan.

The threat message was sent to a Mumbai Traffic Police control room WhatsApp helpline from an unidentified number last evening. It stated that Yogi Adityanath would be "killed like Baba Siddique" if he did not step down within 10 days.

Mumbai Police are investigating the case and attempting to identify the sender.

This latest threat message comes amidst a wave of death threats directed at Mumbai authorities in recent weeks, many of which were aimed at Salman Khan. The threats have demanded a ransom from the actor, with some messages warning that he would be killed if the demand was not met.

Following an incident earlier this year where shots were fired outside Khan's residence, police apprehended several suspects, including a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida, who are currently in transit remand for questioning.

One of these messages also named Zeeshan Siddique, the Bandra MLA and son of Baba Siddique. Baba Siddique was shot dead near his son's office on 12 October, with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claiming responsibility for the murder.

Baba Siddique was reportedly close to Salman Khan, who has also faced death threats from the Bishnoi gang, allegedly due to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the filming of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang was likewise implicated in the firing outside Salman Khan's residence in April. Security for the actor has been intensified following both the firing and these continued death threats.
