UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Orders Immediate FIR Against Ansal Group to Safeguard Homebuyers
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken decisive action against the Ansal Group in Lucknow. He ordered an immediate FIR registration against the company, promising to safeguard homebuyers' interests. This follows the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal's (NCLAT) insolvency proceedings against the group. The Chief Minister stressed that fraudulent activities against homebuyers would not be tolerated, urging strong measures against responsible company officers.

During a review meeting, CM Adityanath instructed officials to file FIRs in all districts where similar complaints against the Ansal Group have emerged, mirroring actions taken in Lucknow. A committee comprising the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and affected buyers will be formed to present robust evidence in court, facilitating strict legal action against the group.
Focus on Urban Development and Infrastructure
The Chief Minister also reviewed urban development projects, including Kanpur Metro, Lucknow Metro, and Agra Metro. He urged officials to expedite project execution for timely completion. Additionally, he assessed the progress of the one trillion dollar economy roadmap, which includes establishing 100 new townships and digitising administrative processes.
CM Adityanath emphasised maintaining construction quality and warned against unplanned urbanisation. To address urban slum challenges, he directed the Development Authority and Housing Development Board to create high-quality residential facilities, parks, and gyms. He suggested constructing high-rise buildings to optimise space and improve living standards.
Legal Actions and Appeals
Officials informed CM Adityanath that NCLAT passed a unilateral order without notifying LDA or the Housing Department. Expressing displeasure, he directed authorities to appeal this decision in public interest. He also instructed immediate action on pending cases within the Housing and Urban Planning Department to expedite their resolution.
The Chief Minister reviewed the GIS-based master plan structure, setting a March deadline for implementing master plans across districts. He urged officials to speed up land acquisition for Agra Inner Ring Road Rahnkala and Raipur project, ensuring coordination with local farmers for smooth execution.
Ensuring Sustainable Urban Growth
CM Adityanath instructed development authorities to proactively manage uncontrolled urban growth for sustainable development. He emphasised expediting ongoing projects in Jhansi, Bareilly, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Bulandshahr, Chitrakoot, and Agra under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion New City Promotion Scheme.
While reviewing progress on the International Exhibition and Convention Center in Lucknow, CM Adityanath directed officials to fast-track scheduled works for timely completion. His comprehensive approach aims to ensure planned urban development while addressing current challenges effectively.
