UP Board Exams 2018 for Class 10 and 12 starts today: Important instructions

The Uttar Pradesh Board exams for Class 10 and 12 will begin from Tuesday with 66.37 lakh students taking part, an official said.

Of the total number of students, 29,81,387 students will appear for the Class 12 exam while 36,55,691 will take the Class 10 exam.

Due to the high number of candidates, the board has taken extra measures for a smooth conduct of the examination.

In all there are 8,549 examination centres. The Class 10 exam will begin from Tuesday and will conclude on February 22 while the Class 12 exams, also beginning on Tuesday, will end on March 12, the official said.

Moreover, to keep an eye on mass cheating, the board has issued extensive security at the sensitive zones Special Task Force has been asked to assist in managing the exercise.

It is for the first time that CCTV cameras have been installed in all the 8,549 exam centres. Of these 2,087 centres have been red flagged as sensitive of which 566 centres have been identified as very sensitive while 1,521 are sensitive in terms of copying mafia being active there.

Important instructions

Aadhaar card: All the students, who will be appearing for the examination are requested to carry their Aadhaar card, which is mandatory to get admission into the examination hall.

Admit card: Candidates are required to carry a printed copy of their original admit card to the examination center. Admission to examination hall is not allowed without the same.

Examination venue: In order to avoid the last moment rush and chaos, candidates should check out the address of their exam centre one night prior to the exam.

Do not panic: Maintain a positive attitude right from the beginning of the day. Do not think about how difficult or easy the paper would be. It will only make you nervous and confused while attempting the paper.

Helpline: The Yogi Adityanath government and Secondary Education Department has even issued helpline WhatsApp numbers to register cheating complaints. The following numbers can be used for complaints: 9454457241 and 0522 - 2236760.
