UP Board Exam on Feb 24 Postponed Due to Mahakumbh
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has rescheduled the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams originally set for February 24, 2025, due to the anticipated large gathering in Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh. The exams will now take place on March 9, 2025, to prevent transportation issues and ensure public safety.
Reason for Rescheduling
The decision was made following a request dated February 18, 2025, raising concerns about the movement of devotees, especially on February 26, the final day of the Mahakumbh's sacred bath, which also coincides with Mahashivratri celebrations.
Updated UP Board Exam Schedule 2025

As per the revised UP Board date sheet 2025, the following exams have been postponed:
- Class 10: Hindi and Medical Documents
- Class 12: Hindi and Military Science
Previous Exam Timings:
- Morning Shift: 8:30 AM - 11:45 AM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM - 5:15 PM
To accommodate the influx of pilgrims and ensure smooth operations, exams will now be conducted between February 28 and March 12, 2025.
The decision was officially announced in Lucknow by Gulab Devi, the Minister of Secondary Education (Independent Charge), Uttar Pradesh. She stated that public safety and efficient traffic management during the Mahakumbh were the primary considerations behind this move.
