UP BJP Leader Attempts Suicide During Facebook Live: Here's Why
A BJP Morcha leader Veer Singh tried to end his life during an ongoing Facebook Live in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred after some residents accused him of raping a woman before thrashing him brutally. The BJP claimed that he felt heartbroken after none from his party extended their support during the difficult times.

Veer Singh streamed a Facebook Live session and attempted suicide on Saturday night. According to the TOI report, the BJP leader claimed in the video clip that some party members were jealous of him and threw a false allegation towards him. He also said he won't be able to face his 15-year-old daughter and then consumed poison to take his own life.
"I have a 15-year-old daughter, and it is difficult to show my face to her after this humiliation. The rape allegations are false, and I am deeply upset that my party colleagues didn't back me," The Times of India quoted the BJP leader as saying.
According to the Moradabad police, the politician was facing a property dispute issue when the controversy around the sexual assault broke out.
The President of Kaanth Temple filed an FIR against him while the BJP Morcha leader was in a property dispute. The other party in the property dispute was also involved in filing FIR, police said.
However, Veer Singh is hospitalized, and his health is better now. Police also confirmed that his statement will be recorded soon, the report said.
