UP: 7-year-old nursery student beaten to death in Bareilly
Bareilly, Dec 16: In a shocking incident, a seven-year-old boy was beaten to death on Tuesday by his teacher. The incident took place in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
According to media reports, the victim, Araj was first thrashed by his teacher and then his head banged against the wall. He became unconscious and started bleeding from his nose, he was rushed to the hospital. But, he was declared brought dead.
Araj was a nursery class student in a private school.
"At around 11 am, a teacher allegedly banged victim's head against the wall following which he started bleeding from his nose. The school authorities then took the boy to a nearby hospital and called his parents, asking them to pick up their son as he was not well," police said.
The post mortem report says that he died of severe head injuries.
Soon after the incident, people protested outside the police station demanding arrest of the teacher and principal.
Meanwhile, police have filed an FIR but not arrest has been made so far.
