UP: 15-year-old girl mowed down by speeding train while escaping from molesters

Lucknow, Oct 7: As the crime against women refuses to die down in Uttar Pradesh, another horrible incident has been reported from Firozabad district of the state.

A 15-year-old girl, Arshi, was on Sunday night, Oct 4, mowed down under a train when she was trying to save herself from becoming a victim of sexual assault.

The teenager had gone to buy medicines from a medical store, when three molesters tried to push her inside an autorickshaw, near the Labour Colony gate.

The girl managed to free herself from their clutches but she came under a speeding train and lost her life.

After witnessing the incident, the three men fled away in the autorickshaw.

When she did not return home after several hours, the girl's father, Abrar started searching for her and found her remains near the railway track.

According to HT report, a case was registered on Tuesday, Oct 5, against three men, identified as Lalla, Kamran and Monu, at Dakshin police station.
