Unopposed! NDA's Upendra Kushwaha And Manan Kumar Mishra Elevated To Rajya Sabha

Upendra Kushwaha and Manan Kumar Mishra have been elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha. Kushwaha will serve a two-year term, while Mishra will serve for four years. NDA candidates have won both the Rajya Sabha seats unopposed. Today, they visited the Bihar Assembly to receive their official certificates.

Recently during the Lok Sabha elections, two Rajya Sabha seats fell vacant after Vivek Thakur (BJP) and Misa Bharti (RJD) were elected MPs. Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha, who lost the election from Karakat in the Lok Sabha elections with the support of BJP and JDU, was made the candidate for the first seat, while on the second seat, BJP made Bar Council of India President and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra the candidate.

NDA's Uncontested Victory

The I.N.D.I.A bloc, the opposition coalition, did not nominate any candidates for these seats, leading to the Rajya Sabha by-election being uncontested, and no voting was required.

The absence of opposition candidates ensured an easy win for NDA. This strategic move by I.N.D.I.A bloc left no room for competition in this election cycle.

Official Ceremony at Bihar Assembly

Kushwaha and Mishra's visit to the Bihar Assembly today was significant as they received their official certificates confirming their new roles. This event marked a formal beginning of their respective terms in office.
