Union Ministers Visit Delhi Welfare Homes, Focus on Child and Women Empowerment
Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, alongside Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur, recently toured several welfare institutions at the Nirmal Chhaya Complex, as highlighted in an official statement on Thursday. Their visit encompassed the Children Home for Girls, After Care Home for Women, and the Child Welfare Committee, all integral parts of Mission Vatsalya. This initiative is dedicated to offering family-based, non-institutional care to children in challenging situations.

The ministers' agenda also included stops at the One Stop Centre and SANKALP-Hub for Empowerment of Women, under the umbrella of Mission Shakti. These institutions are designed to bolster the safety, security, and empowerment of women through integrated support for those affected by violence and holistic empowerment programs.
During their visit, discussions were held on various initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of these institutions. A significant focus was placed on child rights advocacy, raising awareness, and fortifying the juvenile justice care and protection system. Such efforts are pivotal in advancing women-led development and ensuring that no child is left behind. This aligns with the broader objective of achieving Viksit Bharat Developed India as envisioned by the Prime Minister.
Annapurna Devi took this opportunity to interact directly with the children, emphasizing the government's commitment to their welfare and development. The visit underscored the critical role these institutions play in supporting vulnerable sections of society and highlighted ongoing efforts to improve their effectiveness.
The ministers' engagement with these welfare institutions reflects a concerted effort towards realizing a vision where every child's rights are protected, and women are empowered to lead in every sphere of life. It underscores a commitment to creating a supportive ecosystem for those facing adversity, marking a step forward in the journey towards a developed India.
