Union Ministers Visit Delhi Welfare Homes, Focus on Child and Women Empowerment
Minister of Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi, alongside Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur, recently toured several welfare institutions at the Nirmal Chhaya Complex, as highlighted in an official statement on Thursday. Their visit encompassed the Children Home for Girls, After Care Home for Women, and the Child Welfare Committee, all integral parts of Mission Vatsalya. This initiative is dedicated to offering family-based, non-institutional care to children in challenging situations.

The ministers' agenda also included stops at the One Stop Centre and SANKALP-Hub for Empowerment of Women, under the umbrella of Mission Shakti. These institutions are designed to bolster the safety, security, and empowerment of women through integrated support for those affected by violence and holistic empowerment programs.
During their visit, discussions were held on various initiatives aimed at enhancing the capabilities of these institutions. A significant focus was placed on child rights advocacy, raising awareness, and fortifying the juvenile justice care and protection system.
