Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot's son passes away

Nagda (MP), March 29: Narendra Gehlot, the eldest son of Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot, passed away here on Tuesday, March 29 after suffering a massive heart attack.

Narendra (48) suffered a heart attack this morning and was admitted to a local hospital where all efforts to revive him proved futile, family sources said.

He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. Soon after getting information about his son's condition, the Union Minister rushed to Nagda town in Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh from Delhi in a chartered plane.

Narendra's last rites will be performed this evening, sources said. Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar expressed grief over Narendra's demise.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan termed the death of Gehlot's son as "very painful" and prayed to God to give strength to the family to bear the loss and peace to the departed soul.
