Underperformers should be sacked: Narendra Modi
New Delhi, Jan 28: In a firm message to the government officials, PM Narendra Modi directed secretaries to assess employees and sack the ones who are erring. And as punishment, these officers may face dismissal or reduction in pension. The PM also urged the Central government departments to establish grievance cells.
In a first of its kind meeting of the Council of Ministers, Narendra Modi also emphasised on quicker delivery of the schemes that have been launched.

Price rice of pulses were among the other subjects that he discussed. As a follow-up of the world done in all the schemes, he is said to have announced a meeting on every fourth Wednesday where the ministers have to provide a report of the work done.
Some of the departments that have been listed for review include Agriculture, Rural Development, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Chemical and Fertilizer and Water Resources.
