Under the garb of nationalism, this Delhi gang undertakes contract killings
A Delhi police officer part of the investigation said that the note found in Dwaraka was nothing but a cover up act.
Investigations being conducted by the Delhi police have found an entirely new dimension to the problem being posed by vigilantes. A note found on a man's body claims that on their hit-list are anti nationals, drug dealers and those accused of rape and acid attacks.
On Monday, Vikas alias Vikky was shot several times at Sector 22 of Dwaraka at around 9.30 pm. It was here that the police found that note in which the message was that an attempt was being made to clean up society and bring peace.

The police suspect that the same gang could be involved in the murder of Pradeep near Kanjhawala. In this incident Pradeep was riding along with his brother Pawan when they brushed against a car. An argument followed after which the men in the car opened fire and killed Pradeep. The police managed to identify one of the men in the car after Pawan was shown pictures. It turned out that the same gang was behind the killing in Dwaraka.
Nationalist flavour:
A Delhi police officer part of the investigation said that the note found in Dwaraka was nothing but a cover up act. It was personal rivalry which led to the Dwaraka incident, the officer told OneIndia. Investigations have revealed that these men were hired to kill Vikas.
The officer also said that the second incident was however due to a burst of anger following the argument. The officer said that the note left behind by them attempts to send a loud message to society that the killers are on a clean up spree. An attempt is being made to build an alibi, the officer also said.
The one page note states that their war is against the criminals of society. They say that they will target anti nationals, drug dealers etc. What is even more ironic is that in the note these persons seek the help of the government to clean up society. The police are also verifying the note and comparing it to a similar one found following a murder at Najafagarh a couple of months back.
The police suspect that the murder of Vikas was owing to a property dispute.
The police are also on the look-out for one Umesh who is alleged to have hired these persons to carry out the murder. The note has been sent for forensic analysis and the police are trying to ascertain the names of the criminals mentioned in it.
