Unclaimed bag near BHEL residential area creates flutter

Vellore (TN), May 6: A cellphone with some wires found in an unclaimed bag near a Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) residential area at Ranipet here today created a flutter with bomb disposal teams rushing to the spot to ascertain its nature.

Police rushed to the spot and are examining the contents of the bag.

Further details are awaited. The incident comes close on the heels of the May one twin blasts on board the Kaziranga Express at the Chennai Central Railway Station that claimed a woman's life and the crude bomb explosion in Cuddalore district two days later, in which an history-sheeter and four others were injured.
