Unaccounted cash seized during checking in TN

Erode, Mar 21: Election Commission officials today seized Rs 1.49 lahk unaccounted money from a person during vehicle checking, police said.

The money was seized from Senthilkuar, a building contractor, while checking vehicles at Mankaradu village, 23 kms from here, police said.

Officials told him that the mony would returned to him if he provided proper docuents as proof.

Ahead of the May 16 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, a strict vigil is being maintained by the Election Commission against transportation of unaccounted money and illegal money transactions.
