Ultimate restraint by our Jawan: Kicked by Kashmir youth, he just walks away
Narendra Modi said in Jammu and Kashmir that the youth must shun violence.
Our Jawans have been instructed to show restraint in Jammu and Kashmir even as stone pelters and jihadis make merry. That is exactly what a jawan in the CRPF did. He was retreating from a polling booth in Srinagar when he was kicked in the shin by a civilian.
He showed amazing restraint as he looked and continued to walk. Let us salute this man and also hang our heads down in shame as we see some of our own country men resorting to such tactics after being provoked by Pakistan.
After being kicked in the shin, the jawan's helmet fell down. He just picked it up and continued to walk. The incident comes just a week after the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi said in Jammu and Kashmir that the youth must shun violence.
Stone pelters have come in large numbers on to the streets and made the lives of security personnel hell. Security personnel in self defence have been using the pellet guns, but that too has kicked off a national discourse. Many feel that the pellet guns have scarred the lives of several youth who have been hit in the eye. Indian Army personnel and other security forces have said that it is a necessary weapon as the stone pelters are relentless. Security personnel have also argued that the pellet guns are not lethal.
