ULFA terrorists sneak into Assam ahead of Independence Day
The intelligence which has been classified as actionable states that the terrorists are planning on striking at large crowds.
A high-alert has been issued in Assam in which it has been stated that ULFA terrorists may try and carry out an attack on Independence Day. The intelligence alert suggests that 7 terrorists had slipped into Assam from Myanmar and are looking to carry out a major attack.

According to the input, the terrorists are at the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. They are awaiting a signal to strike, the alert also states. In the backdrop of this alert, security has been heightened. Search operations are also underway to nab these terrorists.
The intelligence which has been classified as actionable states that the terrorists are planning on striking at large crowds. They are attempting to rope in some of their sympathisers to plant bombs where there would be large crowds.
This has sprung the Unified Command of the security forces into action which has chalked out a plan to thwart the attack. Officials say that all measures are in place to ensure that no terrorist group is able to strike in the state.
