UGC NET June 2024: Exams Kick Off On August 21; Detailed Schedule Inside

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 exam. The UGC NET exam is set to take place from August 21 to September 4. This announcement was made on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam is held for three main purposes: the award of a Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD, and admission to PhD only. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across 83 subjects.

On August 21, the first shift includes English, Japanese, Performing Art - Dance/Drama/Theatre, and Electronic Science. The second shift features English, Dogri, Spanish, Russian, Persian, Comparative Study of Religions, and Hindu Studies.

August 22, will see Social Work, Home Science, Music, French (French Version), Adult Education/Continuing Education/Andragogy/Non-Formal Education, Indian Culture, Buddhist; Jaina; Gandhian and Peace Studies, and Archaeology in the first shift. Public Administration and Education are scheduled for the second shift.

On August 23, Computer Science and Applications will be held in the first shift. Bengali, Chinese, Rajasthani, Arab Culture and Islamic Studies, Kashmiri, and Sociology are slated for the second shift.

Philosophy, Hindi, Nepali, Manipuri, Assamese, and Santali are scheduled for August 26 in the shift. The second shift includes Hindi and Oriya.

On August 28th's first shift will cover Museology & Conservation along with various Economics subjects such as Rural Economics/Co-operation/Demography/Development Planning/Development Studies/Econometrics/Applied Economics/Development Economics/Business Economics. Punjabi and Tamil will be examined in the second shift alongside Geography.

August 29 features Maithili, Arabic, Gujarati, and German in the morning session. Pali Prakrit Bodo Sindhi History follows in the afternoon session with Marathi Kannada History.

The exams on September 2 include Malayalam Urdu Labour Welfare / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations / Labour & Social Welfare / Human Resource Management Criminology Tribal & Regional Language/Literature Folk Literature Konkani Environmental Sciences Indian Knowledge systems in Shift I. Sanskrit traditional subjects (including Jyotisha/Sidhanta Jyotish/Navya Vyakarna/Vyakarna/Mimansa/Navya Nyaya/Sankhya Yoga/Tulanatmaka Darsan/Shukla Yajurveda/Madhav Vedant/Dharmasasta/Sahitya/Puranotihasa /Agama) Management (including Business Administration Marketing Marketing Management Industrial Relations & Personnel Management Personnel Management Financial Management Co-operative Management) Physical Education Telugu follow in Shift II.

Commerce Library & Information Science Politics including International Relations/International Studies including Defence Strategic Studies West Asian Studies South East Asian Studies African Studies South Asian Studies Soviet Studies American Studies Women Studies Human Rights & Duties are scheduled for September 3rd's morning session. Mass Communication & Journalism Commerce follow in the afternoon session.

The final day of exams is September 4 with Political Science Comparative Literature in Shift I followed by Political Science Yoga in Shift II.
