UGC NET 2024 Exam Rescheduled Due To Krishna Janmashtami: Check New Date Here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a change in the schedule for one of the UGC-NET exams originally planned for August 26. Due to the celebration of Krishna Janmashtami, the exam will now take place on August 27.

The revised schedule affects only this specific date; all other exam dates will remain unchanged as per the previous schedule. An official notification from the NTA states, "On account of Shri Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to reschedule the Examination of 26th August 2024. The exam scheduled for August 26, 2024, will be held on August 27, 2024."

The UGC NET exam will be conducted in the Computer Based Mode (CBT) from August 21 to September 4, across various cities in India. The exam will cover 83 subjects including Hindi, English, Kannada, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Arabic, Linguistics, Nepali, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, Chinese, Dogri, Manipuri, Assamese, Gujarati, Persian, French, Spanish, Russian, Rajasthani, Labour Welfare, Library and Information Science, and Mass Communication and Journalism.

The June session of the UGC NET, initially scheduled for June 18, was cancelled due to allegations of a paper leak. However, investigations later confirmed that no leak had occurred.

For the upcoming exam, NTA has already released advance city intimation slips for the sessions on August 21, 22, and 23. Candidates who have registered can download their city intimation slips from the official UGC-NET website by using their login credentials, such as application number and date of birth.
