Udyamotsav 2025: Amity University and MoE-AICTE Support Student Entrepreneurs with Startup Pitch Event
Amity University, in partnership with the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education, organised Udyamotsav-2025. This event aimed to promote entrepreneurship among students. It provided a platform for 35 startups to present their business ideas to six investors. The event was an opportunity for student entrepreneurs to pitch their startups, seek funding, and gain mentorship on business models and scaling strategies.

Startups Showcase Innovative Ideas
The participants included innovative startups like one founded by Mohammed Saalim. He developed an app to identify counterfeit products and sought Rs 2.5 crore in phased funding to expand his venture. Another team, led by Shreyansh Sharma and Divya Yadav, is working on smartwatches designed for Alzheimer’s patients and aims to secure an initial investment of Rs 10 lakh to expand their operations.
The pitches were evaluated based on several criteria. These included market potential, scalability, team strength, financial viability, traction, and competitive advantage. This comprehensive evaluation helped investors make informed decisions about which startups to support.
Event Highlights Youth Innovation
Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University Haryana, spoke at the event. He highlighted the importance of youth-led innovation for India's future. "It is inspiring to see young minds thinking about innovation, building businesses, and shaping the future of our nation. If we want to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the entrepreneurial spirit of young Indians will be key. Congratulations to all the startups selected to present their ideas," he said.
AICTE Vice Chairman Abhay Jere also emphasised the event's significance. "Through Udyamotsav, we aim to bridge the gap between startups and investors, helping turn ideas into wealth-creating ventures. Notably, three school teams are also pitching, and some of their ideas are on par with those from universities," he stated.
Udyamotsav-2025 not only showcased innovative ideas but also highlighted the potential of young entrepreneurs in shaping India's future. By providing a platform for these startups, the event aimed to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students across the country.
