Udhampur attack: NIA releases suspects resembling Naved's associates
Tapi (Guj), Aug 19:The two persons who were picked up for questioning on the suspicion that they were associates of Mohammad Naved have been released.
The Gujarat police confirmed that the duo were of Indian nationality which led to their release.
The NIA had earlier taken in for questioning two persons based in information provided by Mohammad Naved the terrorist arrested in connection with the Udhampur attack.
The duo were picked up from Tapi in Gujarat. NIA officials had sought information from the Gujarat police about these two persons.

The Gujarat Police informed the NIA that these two persons were Indians which led to their release.
Naved had said that he and three others had infiltrated into India on June 2.
While he and Noman had carried out the Udhampur attack, the other two had gone in a different direction. Naved described the two persons based on which the sketches were prepared.
Naved who was subject to a polygraph test revealed details about the two persons based on which further investigations are on.
