Uddhav Sena Leader Abhishek Ghosalkar Shot Dead On Facebook Live

Mauris Noronha allegedly fired three bullets at Uddhav Sena leader Abhishek Ghosalkar after the duo hosted a Facebook live celebrating the end of the enmity and their coming together for the cause of the development of the area -- the IC colony of Mumbai, in the suburb of Borivali. After firing three bullets at Ghosalkar, Noronha killed himself, according to a report in PTI.

Abhishek was the son of Vinod Goshalkar, a longstanding member of Uddhav's political party, who held the position of chairman at the Mumbai Buildings Repairs and Reconstruction Board, according to a report in Hindustan Times. Additionally, Abhishek's wife was a corporator.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut demands Maharashtra Deputy CM and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis' resignation over the Dahisar, Mumbai firing incident.

Responding to the incident, Shiv Sena (UBT)'s party spokesperson Anand Dubey said, "An attempt to create an atmosphere of anarchy in Maharashtra is being made. BJP, Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar's NCP have completely failed...Nobody seems to be safe now...If a public representative is not safe, what can we say about the common people? Is the government itself creating an atmosphere of fear? Is the opposition being targetted? Sanjay Raut says that this government is nurturing goons. Its living example was seen in Mumbai today...Who will answer this?..."

The incident took place days after a BJP MLA was caught on camera firing at an Eknath Shinde faction leader inside a police station at Ulhasnagar raising questions over Maharashtra's law and order situation.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde has ordered a probe into the latest firing incident.
