Udaipur: Former Royal Family Member Arvind Singh Mewar Passes Away

Arvind Singh Mewar, a prominent member of the erstwhile royal family of Mewar and chairman of the HRH Group of Hotels, passed away early Sunday in Udaipur, Rajasthan, after a prolonged illness. He was 81 years old and had been receiving medical treatment at his residence for an extended period, family sources confirmed.

Born to Bhagwant Singh Mewar and Sushila Kumari, Arvind Singh Mewar was a key figure in Udaipur's cultural and hospitality sectors. He played a crucial role in preserving the heritage of Mewar and was instrumental in managing the HRH Group of Hotels, which transformed historic palaces into luxury heritage properties.

His elder brother, Mahendra Singh Mewar, passed away in November last year. Following royal traditions, Arvind Singh Mewar's last rites will be performed on Monday, March 17. His son, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, shared details on social media, informing that the last darshan will take place from 7 am, with the funeral procession starting at 11 am from Shambhu Niwas. The procession will pass through Badi Pol, Jagdish Chowk, Ghantaghar, Bada Bazaar, and Delhi Gate before reaching Mahasatiyan for the final rites.
