Two More Threatening Emails Sent To Mukesh Ambani

Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, has found himself targeted once again by a persistent sender who had previously demanded a staggering sum of Rs 400 crore. The latest round of threats arrived in the form of emails between October 31 and November 1, as confirmed by the Mumbai police.

The sender reiterated their insistence on the demand for Rs 400 crore and emphasized the severe consequences that could result from ignoring their ultimatums. These recent communications follow a pattern initiated by the same individual in earlier emails.

In previous correspondences, the sender initially sought Rs 20 crore while issuing threats to Mukesh Ambani, claiming access to highly skilled marksmen in India. Subsequently, the demand was elevated to 400 crore rupees, coupled with a confident assertion of their ability to elude law enforcement, stating, "If the police can't track me, they can't arrest me."

Following these threats, a formal complaint was lodged by Devendra Munsiram, Ambani's security in-charge. This prompted the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) by the Gamdevi police, leading to charges of extortion and criminal intimidation against the individual responsible for the threatening emails. Police are currently working to trace the origins of the email account, which is suspected to have been established solely for this malicious purpose.

It is worth noting that in the previous year, a 30-year-old individual from Bihar was arrested for issuing threats to detonate Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and harm Mukesh Ambani, along with his wife Neeta and son Akash. This caller used his real name and personal information, even claiming responsibility for the Pulwama and Mumbai terror attacks. He faced charges under IPC sections 506(2) and 507.

The motive behind these threats remains a subject of investigation, and heightened security measures have been enacted around the hospital and Ambani's residence, Antilia. This incident marked the second threat directed at the hospital within two months in 2022, leading to enhanced government security cover for Ambani and his wife, under the 'Z+' and 'Y+' categories, respectively.
