Two feared drowned at Bandra Bandstand
Mumbai, Jan 9: A college girl and a youth, who jumped into the waters to save her, were today feared drowned in the sea off Bandra Bandstand here, police said.
Three college girls, all residents of Bainganwadi in suburban Govandi, aged between 18 and 19 years, had come to the seaface to picnic this morning, a senior police officer said.

They were clicking pictures when one of them, Taranum, slipped into the sea, he said. Hearing their screams, a local youth, Ramesh, jumped into the sea to rescue the girl, the officer said.
However, the duo are believed to have been swept away in the high tide as they have not been traced yet, he said.
